Daniel Haaksman is back with the third single release from his upcoming album “Sonido Lava” (out 14th of April 2023).

“Bruja” (Spanish for “witch”) is transatlantic, dembow inspired rumba, fusing Latin American grooves and vibes with German electronic sounds.

Vocal features are by Chilean multidisciplinary artist MALAGÜERA, with whom Daniel has already worked on the 2022 release “La Mujer Dormida”. MALAGÜERA´s lyrics are about a witch who is purifying her soul through dance and fire.

Additional guitars in “Bruja” are by Los Bulldozer, which have their own particular way of bringing international influences like soukous, West-African blues and post-punk to the already exquisite musical diversity of key Colombian styles such as currulao, champeta, and reggaeton. Daniel worked with Los Bulldozer already on his 2016 album "African Fabrics" on tracks like "Akabongi", "Sembene" or "Sabado".
